My breast cancer story:
In early 2024, I faced a life-changing challenge: breast cancer. Treatment was tough, but it gave me something unexpected: clarity about how I want to spend my time. I came out of that experience determined to do work that brings joy, purpose, and connection. Since diagnosis I have met so many incredible people who have or are going through this. One of my favorite new terms for these warriors are "breasties" and I have so many that I have added to my family. I have just reached one year from treatment and know that for every day I feel better it's the 18 month mark ahead that most people feel they are back to normal.
We decided to sell our house and move back home to Minnesota during the cancer treatment. We were incredibly lucky to have a superb realtor team who handled every detail—staging, preparing, listing, and negotiating. Bonnie Leet Ramsey and Kelly Lemerise Lombardi showed up, rolled up their sleeves and provided us the confidence to focus just on living life and negotiating treatment. They made the process seamless and even secured a fantastic price quickly. That experience opened my eyes to the true value of a great realtor: they don’t just sell homes; they lift the weight off your shoulders and walk beside you through a major transition.
That was the moment I knew I wanted to do the same for others.
Real estate is also in my blood. My father, Dave Pearson, has built Pearson Realty Group into a trusted family business over the past 25 years, helping clients across the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Joining him in this work feels like a natural next chapter for me.
I also bring my own perspective:
- Military logistics taught me discipline, attention to detail, and how to manage complex moving parts.
- Go-to-market corporate strategy experience trained me to position homes for maximum success.
- Buying and selling seven homes over the past 25 years gave me deep empathy for clients—because I know how overwhelming and emotional the process can feel.
Becoming a realtor wasn’t just a career decision; it was a life decision. One rooted in resilience, family, and a passion for helping others find the right place to call home.
